Important

In May 2020, Valve announced the end of support for its SteamVR virtual reality platform for macOS users due to the small number of Steam users from the macOS platform.

MacOS users can work with the SteamVR platform by running its applications on Windows through Parallels Desktop or VMware Fusion. macOS users can also use legacy builds of the SteamVR platform in beta testing mode, which do not support changes from Valve.
